International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances Campaign 2025

On the occasion of the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, observed annually on August 30, Nophotozone and Families Voice Up Association launched a digital awareness campaign aimed at shedding light on the plight of missing and forcibly disappeared persons and reaffirming families’ right to know the fate and whereabouts of their loved ones.

The campaign was implemented in partnership with Stand with Syria Japan (SSJ) and featured a virtual solidarity action that brought together participants from different locations. Supporters shared photographs of themselves holding signs bearing the message “Never Again,” expressing solidarity with victims of enforced disappearance and their families.
These contributions, along with awareness-raising messages, were disseminated across social media platforms to amplify public awareness, encourage engagement, and strengthen support for affected families.

Running for approximately three days, the campaign provided an important platform for families to make their voices heard, advocate for truth and justice, and reaffirm the collective commitment to preventing enforced disappearances from occurring again.
